A new project for the rural area and the environment of Lemnos

A new project for the rural area and the environment of Lemnos

The team of Terra Lemnia is pleased to announce that the proposal for the project “Implementation and evaluation of agricultural management measures for the protection and conservation of the landscape and biodiversity of Lemnos”, submitted jointly by MedINA and Anemoessa in February, was approved and will start on July 1st!

The project, budgeted €49,750, is part of the Program “Natural Environment & Innovative Environmental Actions 2019” (Measure: Innovative actions with citizens) of the Green Fund and has a duration of 18 months. The actions of the project are a direct continuation of the Terra Lemnia project and aim at the implementation and monitoring of pro-environmental agricultural practices in collaboration with producers of the island, utilizing some of the good practices currently applied on the island of Lemnos.

We are very proud that our proposal was selected third among 105 totally submitted (see here the approval decision).

We would like to thank the Municipality of Lemnos and the producers who supported us in submitting the proposal.

This success fills us with joy and gives us the courage to enthusiastically continue our work!
