MedINA dives into the riverlution!

Athens, January 25, 2024 – MedINA takes you to the movies, presenting, for the first time in Greece, the exciting documentary DAMBUSTERS – The start of the riverlution, in celebration of World Wetlands Day.

Having already captivated audiences in 17 European countries and the US, the film’s screening in Greece aims to further inform and raise awareness on barrier removal from Europe’s rivers.

The documentary follows the journey of Spanish engineer Pao Fernández Garrido across five European countries, exploring why barriers are being removed from rivers and uncovering the ‘river heroes’ behind these barrier removal initiatives. The film is a co-production of the World Fish Migration Foundation, WWF, and Magen Entertainment, directed by Francisco Campos-Lopez Benyunes.

Get ready for a unique cinematic journey into the wonderful world of free-flowing rivers!

Friday, February 2, 2024, at the Greek Film Archive (Meg. Alexandrou 136, Athens), at 18:00.

Admission is free.
