Launching of the MedWet Culture Network website

MedWet and Med-INA are happy to announce the launching of the MedWet Culture Network!

MedWet has long been a supporter of the important role of cultural aspects in wetland management. The incorporation of wetland cultural aspects in the work of the Ramsar Convention is a benchmark highlighting the increased interest in this field. For more information please visit the Ramsar Culture Network.

In 2015 MedWet tasked MedINA, which has over a decade of experience in the integration of cultural values in wetland management through a number of projects and activities, to launch the MedWet Culture Network – a network of interested individuals and organisations in the cultural aspects of Mediterranean wetlands.

The MedWet Culture Network website is one of the activities planned. Its purpose is to serve the Network members with information on culture and wetlands such as explanations on the cultural aspects of wetlands, case studies from across the Mediterranean, news, projects and publications. Also, it will serve as a platform for raising awareness and encouraging meaningful exchanges between the members.

The MedWet Culture Network invites all of you to join it and become a member!

This network depends on you to grow bigger and more useful. Please let us know of the cultural aspects of Mediterranean wetlands that you may know or about relevant events by telling us your story and filling the form here. Please feel free to send us also photos related to culture and wetlands!
