MedINA organises the second phase of the training workshop on heritage interpretation in Kythera island

MedINA is organising the second phase of training workshop on heritage interpretation, from 17 to 19 October 2018 on the island of Kythera, at the premises of the Patrikia School of Karavas (Kythera). All the participants completed a three-day educational seminar last May, during which they were introduced to the basic principles of heritage interpretation.

During this second phase of the training workshop, participants will go more in depth regarding practical aspects of heritage interpretation like the creation of a guided tour sequence and will have the opportunity to present the individual assignments they have prepared.

The training is delivered by Valya Stergioti, training Coordinator of Interpret Europe. All participants will receive a certification by Interpet Europe- the European Association for Heritage Interpretation at the end of this final workshop.

The seminar is held in the framework of MedINA’s project on upgrading the trails network of Kythera project, which is implemented in cooperation with the Municipality of Kythera, the Domestic Property Committee of Kythera-Antikythera and the Kytherian Foundation for Culture and Development. This training workshop is an action aimed at the sustainability of the trails network by building the capacities of young Kytherians.
