MedINA’s new project, “Small Farm to Market II”, is already underway, continuing the work of the successful Small Farm to Market initiative implemented last year. The project aims to strengthen rural communities in Lemnos and Kythera, while showcasing the unique agri-food identity of Lemnos through collective action and the power of storytelling.
As part of the project, an online informative event was held under the title “Flavours, Place, Stories: Creating Agri-Food Experiences in Lemnos,” marking the launch of a new activity that will be implemented in person in October on the island of Lemnos.
The initiative invites producers, hospitality and tourism professionals to join forces, inspire one another, and co-create experiences that go beyond the traditional concept of a tourism product. The goal is to highlight the local identity through everyday life, local products, and -above all- the people of the island.
Based on a participatory approach, the action promotes knowledge exchange, collaboration, and the co-creation of authentic experiences, with storytelling as its central thread. Visitors will not simply take part in a tour – they will connect deeply with Lemnos through memories, traditions and the living culture of the island.
With the communities of Lemnos and Kythera phold a central significance, Small Farm to Market II paves the way for a new creative journey where stories and flavours come together, and all participants become both narrators and protagonists of their land.
The project “Small Farm to Market II” is implemented with the support of the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation.
