Via Lemnia Participatory Planning Workshop

Via Lemnia Participatory Planning Workshop

  • ΕΛ

The Mediterranean Institute for Nature and Anthropos (MedINA) organised on March 3, 2024, a participatory workshop in the framework of the project “Via Lemnia – Digital routes in the agri-food culture of Lemnos”, which is funded by the Ministry of Culture and implemented by MedINA.

The workshop, which was held under the auspices of the Municipality of Lemnos, began with a brief presentation of MedINA’s work in Lemnos, with special reference to activities relating to rural cultural heritage. The presentations were followed by group work resulting in proposals for places and areas that could be included in the planned routes.

We would like to thank the Municipality of Lemnos, as well as those who honoured us with their presence and submitted their proposals, which will allow us to design together the agri-food routes, in line with the project’s action plan and in a way that reflects the character of the island, as perceived and experienced by its residents. The participatory workshop confirmed our conviction that Lemnos boasts a living agri-food heritage and has all it takes to become an authentic tourist destination!
