Workshop for Agrifood Tourism Experiences on Lemnos

  • ΕΛ

MedINA is organizing the third workshop titled “Agrifood Tourism Experiences – Visiting Farms” which will take place on January 19th and 20th, from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m., at Apothiki venue in Myrina.

We are delighted to host Stavros Papadopoulos, sustainable & alternative tourism consultant and tourism experience manager at SanDopios DMC. Together, we will explore the latest trends in agritourism, the legal framework for multifunctional farms, successful examples from other regions, and more. Participants will have the opportunity to practice developing travel experiences and discuss how to design, cost and promote an unforgettable travel experience.

MedINA’s mission on Lemnos is to empower producers, create opportunities for young individuals, and connect local agrifood and tourism businesses to strengthen the local economy.

The development of agrifood experiences allows producers to achieve supplementary income while offering unique, authentic experiences to visitors on Lemnos. Special emphasis will be given to the interactive nature of the tourist experience, ensuring that visitors feel they have experienced something unique that binds them to the place and creates lasting memories.

Participation is free of charge, and you can fill out your application (in Greek) online here or by phone at 210.3611001 (MedINA’s office/call center). Places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

The workshop is primarily aimed at individuals interested in creating agrifood experiences, producers who want to make their farms visitable, as well as those involved in processing, marketing local products, hospitality, and tourism. However, it is open to anyone interested in the topic.

Participants attending both days of the workshop will receive a certificate of attendance.

The workshop series and the entire programme “Terra Graeca: Small Farm to Market” are implemented with the support of the John S. Latsis Public Benefit Foundation.

Together we envision thriving local communities in productive and healthy agroecosystems!
